As an Uber Eats driver, I’ve had my share of interesting experiences, and today, I’m sharing my adventure with a Chick-fil-A delivery. Not worth it for Uber Eats in San Diego.
The Beginning
I got gas at Costco in La Mesa and my Uber Eats Experience Uber began at The Grill at Vine Ripe. Yes, I love to get fresh water and food for the day from here. With a full tank of gas and an early start, I accepted my first order of the day at Chick-fil-A. I didn’t want to take anything less than $10 but beggars can’t be choosers.
I was working on a YouTube video about the secret teachings of all ages with Manny P. Hall, multitasking at its finest! That is my style of Uber and how to handle slow times.
The Pickup Experience
Chick-fil-A was buzzy with activity, and parking was a challenge. I attempted to use the drive-thru, but was informed that Uber Eats pickups were not allowed there. He asked me to drive backwards, and hurry up before you get stuck. After a bit of maneuvering, I found a parking spot and made my way inside to collect the order. So big lesson here, parking is very hard over here.
The Delivery Experience
With the order Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Strips (3 Ct Meal), Waffle Potato Fries and Large Barq’s Root Drink No Ice, securely placed in my vehicle, I embarked on the delivery. The destination was a mere 3 miles away, a short trip in the grand scheme of things. However, the journey was not without its hiccups. The drink from the order was leaking, adding a bit of a mess to the delivery. I cleaned it up and gave the delivery like a pro. Gotta get that Tip and it’s all about service and Uber Eats Experience.
The Challenges
The challenges of this delivery were two fold. Firstly, the parking situation at Chick-fil-A was less than ideal. The lack of available spots and the restriction on drive-thru pickups for UberEats made the process more time-consuming than anticipated. Secondly, the leaking drink added an unexpected obstacle to the delivery process.
Conclusion
Despite the challenges, my mood remained positive and my energy high. This UberEats experience with Chick-fil-A was a learning opportunity, providing insights that will undoubtedly shape my future deliveries. For other Uber Eats drivers out there, I hope my experience can provide some guidance on what to expect and how to strategize your deliveries.
Uber Eats Experience & Earnings Breakdown
For this delivery, my earnings totaled $7.59, which included a generous tip of $3.92. The customer price was $10.89, with an additional tip bringing the total to $14.81. Uber’s service fee came to $7.22. While the earnings for this delivery were not substantial, the lessons learned were invaluable. Anything less than $10 to $15 is not worth it. It’s better to sit in my car and work on my online etsy store or YouTube channel.
